Image Business of Beauty Awards
As ever, team Image delivered a killer awards this year . I want to start by saying a massive thank you to all those who took the time to vote . For me, I am just so honoured to be nominated. Everyone in the ‘Beauty Influencer’ category is an absolute powerhouse, I look to all these people for inspiration as they are such creative content creators .A massive congrats to Keildh who took home the award. She is a total trail blazer in the beauty world at the moment and her content is innovative . Also, congrats to Triona and Tara on taking home the silver and bronze . They are both good gal pals of mine and I am delighted to see their names in lights .
The Suit
Ok, to say I wasn’t prepared for the awards was the understatement of the century. I had a crazy two weeks prior to the event so getting something to wear just wasn’t a priority . Anyway, the awards started at 6.30 pm and I bought my suit in Topman Blanchardstown at 5.30pm . I am the definition of lastminute.com. I didn’t love the suit to be honest but it did the job. I have learnt a lesson though and I won’t be putting myself under that pressure again. I am heading to the VIP style awards at the end of the month so I need to get shopping :)
The Opening
This year as part of the awards they had the gorge Paul Ryder open the show ( from Ireland’s Got Talent ) . His performance was electric and really set the tone for the night . I actually worked with Paul many moons ago. I am so delighted to see him kicking ass. He had worked so hard for so long so I was delighted to see him take center stage . Whatever he does next ... Best Dressed
There was an official best dressed on the night. However, I have decided to do my own. There was so much glam on the night it was hard to take it all in . There were a few that really stood out and slayed. I sometimes hate being male because when it comes to fashion there just aren’t as many options . There are only so many ways to wear a suit . However, I get to admire the fab fashion of those around me .
1. Ciara Cosgrove
Ciara is such a fashionista and I am obsessed with her style. Ciara works for Image publications and at every event I meet her at she looks effortlessly stunning . Dress is from designerroom.ie and her head band is by Suzanne Ryan Millinary . The insane part is that Ciara gave birth to her little boy Luke just 6 months ago !
2. Karen Constantine
Karen Constantine was the belle of the ball. She was the definition of top to toe gorgeous . Karen has made some big life changing decisions this year and has taken a leap of faith with her career . I have so much respect for Karen. She works hard to create unreal content . The changes and the hard work are obviously working for Karen as she radiated beauty and positivity on the night . Her dress is from ASOS last year. Karen has also done a tutorial on her make up on the night which you can catch below .
3. Suzanne Jackson
I am so obsessed with this dress. Mainly because it is so unusual. I have never seen anything like it before and it definitely stood out on the night . I also think it completely embodies Sue’s own personal style . So, it was no surprise that Sue designed the dress herself with the fab Umit Kutluk. I am also obsessed with the lip colour that she has on. It really makes the colour of the dress pop. This whole ensemble is a 10/10 for me !
4. Tara Anderson
At seven months pregnant, Tara was the definition of that pregnancy glow . The dress was from ASOS and just sit beautifully over her baby bump. Tara was there with her Mum, Sister and best friend all of whom looked drop dead gorgeous . Tara did point out that the slip of the dress wasn’t that confortable so she swapped it out with a nude slip she borrowed from her mum. I wish my mam was kind enough to give me her nude slip LOL! I am so excited for Tara and Daniel. They are going to be such amazing parents .
5. Aimee Connolly
Looking like a Greek Godess! This is not a dress that everyone can wear but Aimee looks so beautiful in it . Aimee picked this up from Ghost Fashion. I had done an event with Aimee the morning of the event in Carlow. We didn’t have more than an hour to get ready and Aimee managed to pull this out of the bag. Celebrity stylist Clementine Macniece recently wore this as a bridesmaid dress at her sisters wedding so a great option for anyone looking for a bridesmaid inspo.
